About the Story Tsunami project
The first "Story Tsunami" was a wave of storytelling benefit concerts for the victims of the December 26, 2004 earthquake and tsunami in Asia. The goal was to create a wave of love and compassion in response to the wave of devastation. The American and International storytelling community held 58 events and raised a combined total of $56,460.

Haiti and the 01/12/10 Earth Quake

Storytellers are organizing again. Story Bowl, a series of storytelling events designed to raise awareness and funds about hunger, was already in the works when the January 12 earthquake struck Haiti, so we recommend posting any storytelling events that are organized as fundraisers on that site:
